چکیده

A novel solution of broadband asymmetric multisection coupled-line directional couplers has been proposed in which the required coupling of the tightlycoupled section is reduced. The coupling coefficient reduction has been achieved by the appropriate connection of a tightly-coupled section which has been rotated and connected with the remaining sections in such a way that the transmission and coupled ports are interchanged. It has been shown that in such circuits it is possible to achieve equal-ripple coupling characteristics similar to the classic multisection asymmetric coupled-line couplers. The numerical calculations of the proposed couplers have been performed and the obtained results are presented in a tabular form. The presented concept has been confirmed by measurements of the manufactured threesection asymmetric coupled-line directional coupler operating in the frequency range 0.5-2.5 GHz.

Development of Forward-wave Directional Couplers Loaded by Periodic Shunt Shorted Stubs

In this paper a new procedure for designing forward-wave directional couplers using periodic shunt short circuited stubs is proposed. A new type of cell using these stubs, which enlarge the phase difference between even- and odd modes of a uniform microstrip coupled line is introduced. Using the equivalent circuit model for even- and odd-modes of the proposed cell, the elements of the  ABCD tra...

بهینه سازی و افزایش پهنای باند پیوننده خط شاخه ای موجبری مجتمع شده در زیرلایه به روش حداقل مربعات

Directional couplers are passive devices which are used as power dividers and combiners in microwave, millimeter and terahertz systems. By the use of substrate integrated waveguides (SIW) for the design of such devices, the advantages of waveguide and printed circuit (PC) technologies are utilized simultaneously, such as low cost, small size, low transmission and radiation losses. In this paper...

Analytical Method for Coupling Calcula- Tions of Rotated Iris Coupled Resonator Cavity

Iris type waveguide to cavity couplers are used to couple power to particle accelerator cavities. Waveguide to cavity coupling for arbitrarily oriented rectangular iris is analyzed using Bethe’s small hole coupling theory. Magnetic moment of rotated iris is obtained by defining its dyadic magnetic polarizability. Power radiated by magnetic moment into the incoming waveguide is used for coupling...

Novel Microstrip Multifunction Directional Couplers and Filters for Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Applications

Abstruct-The design of a new class of microstrip couplers and filters is presented in this paper. The synthesis functions obtained from the solution of first-order nonlinear differential equation of nonuniform lines with a loose coupling assumption are modified and validated for higher coupling values. The design employs a nonuniform coupled line configuration along which a realizable continuou...

Superconducting Microstrip-Fed Antenna Coupled to a Microwave Kinetic Inductance Detector

A proper antenna to couple to a microstrip Microwave Kinetic Inductance Detector (MKID) is designed and simulated. A twin-slot microstrip-fed inline antenna is designed for frequency band of 600-720~GHz integrated with an elliptical lens and coupled to the MKID. A systematic design procedure for design of such antenna with microstrip inline feeding is presented. Whole structure of lens and twin...
